Log-Gevity Log Finish Coat consists of several essential wood protecting ingredients blended specifically to generate a strong adhesive bond with the Log-Gevity™ Log Stain & Stabilizer and reinforce the UV and moisture inhibiting attributes which maintain and protect the life of the finish, while providing the aesthetically appealing, natural looking, rich warm glow commonly associated with natural wood finishes.
Unlike many film forming finishes, Log-Gevity Log Finish Coat is breathable and will not crack or peel. Log-Gevity Log Finish Coat is completes the solution to your log home care needs. Additional additives are not needed. Four U.V. inhibiting ingredients, including reflective metals, provide a resilient barrier that protects against damage caused by exposure to harsh climate conditions, wind and moisture erosion, and UV radiation. This product is available in the recommended clear. It is advised to use color toner within the Log-Gevity Log Stain & Stabilizer. If desired, color toner may be added to the Log-Gevity Log Finish Coat as well.

Precautions: Read the entire material safety data sheet and product label for a more thorough evaluation of hazards. Fully protect all adjacent surfaces, as well as, general work area. When spraying near vegetation, cover plant life with cardboard or other suitable material in case of overspray.
Environmental Hazards: This product maybe toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water by disposal of equipment washwaters. Do not use on wood that will be in direct contact with soil.

FOR BEST RESULTS AND OPTIMAL PENETRATION: SURFACE MUST BE DRY DURING APPLICATION. BOTH SURFACE AND AIR TEMPERATURE MUST BE ABOVE 50°F. PROPER SURFACE PREPARATION
IF YOU HAVE NEW OR OLD, DIRTY OR WEATHERED LOGS/WOOD (Including sidewalls, decks, fences, dimensional lumber, roofs and most other log or wood structures.)
Note: Once the Log-Gevity Stain & Stabilizer is applied, your logs have sufficient protection for 12 months or longer before finish coat or chinking need to be applied.
It is recommended to clean all surfaces with Log-Gevity Log Maintenance Wash on an annual basis (especially decking) or as needed and always before reapplication of *maintenance coat, such as Log-Gevity Log Stain & Stabilizer or Log-Gevity Log Finish Coat.
*Maintenance coat for decks is defined as a thin wiped on, smoothed out application and is great for rejuvenatingcolor!

IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING COATING (i.e. FAILED FINISH)
GENERAL DIRECTIONS It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Mix Log-Gevity™ Log Finish Coat well before using. A test area should be performed before beginning overall project to determine the amount of Log-Gevity™Log Finish Coat the wood will absorb, dry time, log/wood porosity and total desired look.
Note: Using the Log-Gevity™ Log Finish Coat as the second step in a two-step system will yield the best results.
SHAKE ROOF / SIDEWALL SHINGLES APPLICATION
Before applying this product to shake roof surfaces make sure to use an OSHA approved safety harness to prevent slipping and falling from the roof surface. Roof surfaces can become extremely slippery during and just after the application of this product.
DRY TIME: Each wood surface may have different dry times due to wood porosity. It is recommended to allow at least 24 hours to dry.
CLEAN UP: Use mineral spirits or dish detergent and water. Should Log-Gevity™ Log Finish Coat come in contact with surfaces such as glass, paint, metal, caulking or rubber, remove immediately with dish detergent. If a spill is dry, clean it with mineral spirits.
STORAGE: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in cool place. This product should be kept out of reach of children and stored away from food.
DISPOSAL: Do not reuse empty can. Wrap can and place in trash. Leaking or damaged containers should be placed in a plastic bag and discarded. Contact local, state, or federal agencies to ensure compliance of proper disposal methods and respective regulations.
HELPFUL HINTS: For further protection, apply Log-Gevity™Log Stain & Stabilizer and Log-Gevity™ Log Finish Coat on all sides of the wood. If the application has to be interrupted, stop at a corner as opposed to the middle of the wall.
