Log-Gevity™ Log Chinking Glide
This semi-thick water-based lubricant is used to create ease in tooling chinking. Log-Gevity™ Log Chinking Glide keeps chinking from dripping down to lower level logs which is a problem commonly encountered during the tooling process. In order to achieve the aesthetic of exposed sand aggregate, a minimal amount of tooling will still be required immediately following the initial tooling step. By using Log Chinking Glide (light viscosity), this affect can be easily accomplished. Man hours and clean-up will be reduced dramatically by substituting the Log-Gevity™ Log Chinking Glide for the standard tooling lubricants.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Log-Gevity Log Chinking GLIDE is a

Gevity Log Chinking GLIDE keeps

order to achieve the aesthetic of exposed

Log-Gevity Log Chinking GLIDE (light
viscosity), this affect can be easily
accomplished. Man hours and clean-up will
be reduced dramatically by substituting the
standard tooling lubricants with Log-
Gevity Log Chinking GLIDE.
Precautions: Read the entire material
safety data sheet and product label for a
more thorough evaluation of hazards. Fully
protect all adjacent surfaces as well as
general work area. When spraying near
vegetation, cover plant life with cardboard
or other suitable material in case of
overspray.

PROPER SURFACE PREPARATION
IF YOU HAVE NEW OR OLD, DIRTY OR
WEATHERED LOGS/WOOD
- Clean logs/wood with Log-Gevity New
Log Prep or other Log-Gevity Product.
- Apply a coat of Log-Gevity Log Stain
& Stabilizer.
- If color is desired, apply color toner with
the Log-Gevity Stain & Stabilizer.
Note: Once the Log-Gevity Stain &
Stabilizer is applied, your logs have
sufficient protection for 12 months or
longer before finish coat or chinking need
to be applied.
- Apply Log-Gevity End Grain Sealer to
exposed log ends.
- Apply a top coat of Log-Gevity Log Finish
Coat.
- Apply Log-Gevity Log Chinking
anytime after the stabilizer or finish has
been applied and cured.
- Utilize Log-Gevity Log Chinking
GLIDE during tooling process of log
chinking. Apply to tooling apparatus by
spraying or dipping.
GENERAL DIRECTIONS
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this
product in a manner inconsistent with its
labeling.
Test area should be performed on each
type of surface before overall use of
product. Allow test areas to dry
thoroughly before determining results.
User shall determine the suitability of the
product for its intended use and assumes all
risk and liability whatsoever in connection
therewith.
- Apply Log-Gevity Log Chinking
GLIDE during tooling process of log
chinking.
- Apply Log-Gevity Log Chinking
GLIDE to tooling apparatus by spraying or
dipping.

DRY TIME: Each wood surface may have
different dry times due to wood porosity.
Under optimal conditions Log-Gevity Stain
& Stabilizer will flash dry in approximately 30
minutes. Always check wood surfaces prior to
usage.
CLEAN UP: Detergent and water.
STORAGE: Keep container closed when
not in use. Store in cool place. This
product should be kept out of reach of
children and stored away from food.
DISPOSAL: Do not reuse empty can.
Wrap can and place in trash. Leaking or
damaged containers should be placed in a
plastic bag and discarded. Contact local,
state, or federal agencies to ensure
compliance of proper disposal methods
and respective regulations.
