Exposed Beam Rafter System

Nothing can compare to the beauty of exposed beam rafters in a log home. Choose between square-cut or rounded hand-peeled rafters for your 1-1/2 story or 2 story home. 2x6 tongue and grooved decking is placed on top of the rafters. Rigid insulation panels are then placed on top of the tongue and groove boards to complete the roof system. Rafter ties, collar ties, and purlin may be required for structural integrity.
